About the Montana Damsel Trout Fly
The Montana Damsel imitates the small damsel nymphs which are such an important part of the staple food of trout. It is a fish taker on still waters everywhere.
The marabou tail creates great movement and the gold bead is also a stimulating trigger point. Retrieve with quick, short strips and the Montana Damsel nymph will imitate the Stoneflies and Damsel nymphs migrating to the water's edge.
The Gold Bead weighted head is ideal for a sink and draw retrieve, allowing the damsel to dive then temptingly dart up and forwards.
Expert Tip:
Although originally created for the western Montana rivers these nymphs form a major food source of the trout's diet on a whole variety of waters worldwide.
This trout fly is designed to be fished on Dams & Reservoirs, Rivers & Streams, Still Water
