About the Parasol Buzzer Trout Fly
The Parasol Buzzer was designed for those times when the fish are feeding just under the surface. It should be presented below the surface leaving the CDC visible above the surface. The CDC acts as a strike indicator and keeps the fly afloat.

Pattern Dressings
- Hook : 12.
- Thread : UNI Thread, olive.
- Rib : Roots SS 0.0025 wire.
- Body : UNI Thread, olive.
- Thorax : Roots Holographic enhancer, green.
- Cheeks : UNI tying thread, olive.
- Parasol : CDC, orange.
Background: Graydon Bell recreated this pattern at a later date for publication, and some references consider him to be the creator of this pattern, however his version was based on the design originally made by Chris Watson.

Hi Peter, you are correct. Anything within the description are actually the words from the author or someone on their behalf when this fly was originally submitted into our library (from 2003 onwards).
We did not mean to imply that we have created this fly, however we have designed many new patterns for people which are on this site, and have obtained permission from the designers of all patterns displayed on this site.
