About the Apache Viva Trout Fly

The Apache Viva is one of the enormously successful and exciting series of Apache flies that produce excellent results in all still waters.

The pulsing movement of the mink body plus the stimulating flowing and eye catching movement of the marabou and flashabou tail help to make this pattern a serious killer.

Savage takes often occur after two or three short jerks followed by a steady retrieve.

Comments from other fly fishermen

The Apache range of lures all work extremely well. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, both speeds with a pause and restart. Orange seems to work early in the season, as does black and green. The white and the black lures are consistent throughout. Their movement in the water is superb.I wouldn't be without them. - 5 out of 5 Stars by on 01/10/2010

I used this fly at Wellsfield Fishery. I quickly caught and dispatched my 2 fish. I then debarbed the fly and moved to the lower pond first cast caught a fish by the time I had cast 4 times I had 3 fish. The guy next to me couldn't believe it.What a fly I wouldn't be without an Apache best fly ever. - Posted by on 17/03/2018
