September
has proven another great month for both Trout and Salmon fishing, with a
50/50 split in the chart for the second month running. The fly-fishing
season hits a sweet spot this month, as cooler nights and crisp mornings
create ideal conditions.
For Trout, we have the Pearly Daddy in top position again for the 3rd month in a row, but popularity is in its peak this month. Nymphs, such as the Gold Head Hare's Ear or Sparkle Pheasant tail, along with Snails and other terrestrials make a great choice; and we have our loyal following for the Apache, who swear by nothing else, pushing the Apache White into 7th position.
For Salmon, the Silver Stoats Tail and Ally Shrimp
have made it into 2nd and 3rd; really popular traditional patterns. We
have more stock arriving of the Ally Shrimp this week, so if you are
unlucky to grab some, please use the register your interest facility to
be notified as soon as we have them back in store.
The Aurora and Toucan have striking colour combination of reds and yellows, standing out, and on a Salar double, these make strong killers!
These
trending flies show a great impression of what is happening on the
water at the moment, and directly shows what patterns other fisherman
are using to catch those fish!
