Top Ten Flies June 2022

The Klink n Dink has continued to prove its popularity after being reintroduced last month, however unlike last month, it didn't quite make the top spot, having been pipped to the post (and only just!) by another strong favourite, the Pearly Daddy.

June has brought a whole mixture of weathers, not all favourable, especially when the hot spells hit and the breezes turned into stronger winds; however recent storms cooled the air and the rain to some degree helped the rising water temperatures.

What has followed are nice conditions for midges to hatch around the water, with good patterns in this month's chart to take advantage of this. Due to the windy weather, the Brown Beetle has just scrapped into the chart; this could be an ideal pattern to keep on the sidelines for when those breezes pick back up again.
