Do you have a range of patterns with barbless hooks?
The use of barbless hooks is becoming more common place in fly fishing. Used mainly when fishing catch and release, it is becoming increasingly popular to help prevent problems arising from hooks becoming lodged from snapped tippets which could have decremental effects on the fish’s heath.
If you are fishing in an area where it is illegal to fish with barbed hooks, there is a limited range of patterns tied on barbless which can be used, and alternatively de-barbing the hook yourself using a pair of pliers is a valid and recognised option.
