About the French Partridge Mayfly Trout Fly
The French Partridge Mayfly (also known as Grey Partridge) is a dependable and proven mayfly pattern. Dressing using these particular hackles work in there own simple way with a 'show of movement' when in the water, adding that extra interest to the watching Trout.They suggest a drowned mayfly spinner or even a stonefly. It is at it's best when fished wet and pulled just under the surface; occasionally treated with a floatant and fished dry in the surface film.
